You're my boy Blu!!!

This guitar was actually started about 3 years ago, but kept getting put aside for other projects. It has my old headstock design. Although I wanted to keep it simple with just the one volume knob, I think I'm going to add a tone control that only controls the bridge pickup. I'm also going to add 2, possibly 3 more inset straplock receptacles to give the player many options when trying to get the guitar to hang in a comfortable playing position.

Solid quilt Maple top/Mahogany body (faux Maple binding)

3-piece laminated neck Flame Maple & Purpleheart. Dual Carbon Fiber support rods. Dual action truss rod.

Ebony Fingerboard. Dunlop Jumbo frets.

24 frets, 25 inch scale, 12 radius

1 11/16 Earvana nut

Grover Rotomatic tuners

Lace Sensor "Hot Gold" (noiseless) pickups w/5-way switch. Chrome mounting rings inset flush to the top of the guitar.

Ultra low-profile Graphtech/TonePros Tune-o-matic "Superbridge".

Flush mount Jim Dunlop straplocks.

Nitrocellulose Lacquer top, Hand-rubbed "open-grained" Tru-oil back, sides, & neck.

 

Since the original pictures were taken, I've added a matching Mahagany control cover. Look no screws! It's held in by magnets for instant access.

 

 

In progress pic shows "Deep set" neck joint. All cavities are painted with electrical sheilding paint to stop any outside interference.
