Midi Prototype

This is one of the first guitars I built for myself. I'm a Roland VG-88 "midi" system user and I wanted a guitar for my live gigs.

(I forgot to put the whammy bar on the guitar for the photos.)

Solid quilt Maple top/Mahogany body (faux Maple binding)

3-piece laminated neck Flame Maple & Purpleheart. Dual Carbon Fiber support rods. Dual action truss rod.

Ebony Fingerboard. Dunlop Jumbo frets.

24 frets, 25 inch scale, 12 radius

1 11/16 Graphtech Black Tusq nut

Grover Rotomatic tuners

Lace Alumitone Pickups

Graphtech Hexpander Piezo 13-pin "midi" system

Ultra low-profile Wilkinson vibrato bridge.

Flush mount Jim Dunlop straplocks.

Nitrocellulose Lacquer top, Hand-rubbed "open-grained" Tru-oil back, sides, & neck.
